“Žemaičiai” pancakes with mushroom and sparkling wine sauce by @gaminu_sau

Have you ever tasted “Žemaičiai” pancakes with not just any cream sauce, but one that uses… Sparkling wine! This recipe was sent to us by Indrė (IG @gaminu_sau) and we thought wow! This is definitely something we need to try and share with you, dear ones. So, for your attention, gourmet “Žemaičiai” pancakes according to Indrė.

  • 2 packages of Done Cookin “Žemaičiai” pancakes
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 x 50 g pieces of butter
  • 6 mushrooms
  • 100 ml sparkling wine (dry)
  • 100 ml cream
  • Salt and pepper

Step 1:

  • Remove the “Žemaičių” pancakes from the package and place in the oven to heat according to the instructions.

Step 2:

  • Melt a piece of butter in a frying pan and fry the chopped mushrooms, set aside.

Step 3:

  • Add a second piece of butter, chopped shallots to the same frying pan and fry for 6 minutes.

Step 4:

  • Add the sparkling wine and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 5:

  • Then add the cream and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Step 6:

  • Return the mushrooms to the sauce, season everything with salt and pepper and serve. Delicious!
